What is the ruling on wearing shoes with a heel that is not very high, whether it makes a sound or not? What is the ruling on wearing fabrics with animal skin patterns and praying in them? What is the ruling on using a bag with animal skin patterns or made of leather whose origin is unknown (whether it is natural or not)? Is it permissible to use it as a Sutrah for prayer outdoors?

We have previously clarified the ruling on wearing high-heeled shoes in previous fatwas.

As for wearing fabrics patterned like animal skins, these are an adornment that a woman is not permitted to display in front of non-mahram men. However, she may wear them in front of her mahrams and other women.

It is preferable to avoid praying in garments with patterns that might distract the worshipper, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) hadith about the khamisa.

As for using the aforementioned bag, it is permissible, whether it is made of fabric, natural leather, or synthetic leather. If it is natural leather from a carcass, it becomes pure through tanning.

It is permissible to use the bag as a sutrah during prayer if it is like the back of a saddle. If it is smaller than that, it should not be used as a sutrah unless nothing else is available.
