What is the ruling on praying in leather socks (khuff)?

There is no harm in wearing pure leather socks (khuff) during prayer. It has been authentically reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed in his sandals. As for praying while having wiped over the leather socks, there is no harm in it if the conditions for the validity of wiping are met.
