What is the ruling on marrying a righteous girl whose father deals with sorcerers and charlatans?
There is no objection to a man marrying the aforementioned girl, as long as she possesses good qualities. The preponderant opinion is that it is not disliked to marry the daughter of a fasiq (sinner). The presumption is that her father is innocent of what has been attributed to him, and it is not permissible to harbor ill thoughts about a Muslim, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy."
