If a father grants a plot of land to one of his sons, and then gives the rest of his children, both males and females, an amount equal to its value and divides it among them, this is not just. It is obligatory for the father to be fair among his children in giving, by giving the female the same share as the male, or by giving the male the share of two females. The parent must rectify this error by giving the rest of the children the same amount he gave to that son, or by deducting from that son's share until it equals that of his brothers and sisters.
