If the endower stipulates that the usufruct of the endowment be for the male children of his children, to the exclusion of females, then it is not permissible to violate this condition. This is because the endower has the right to dedicate the endowment to whomever he wishes, even if it is religiously disliked for him to deprive females. However, if the endower does not specify a preference among the beneficiaries, the revenue is to be divided equally, without distinction between male or female.
