The answer

Allah has legislated the Sunan al-Fitra (practices of natural disposition), which include trimming the mustache, growing the beard, using the siwak, rinsing the nose with water, trimming the nails, washing the knuckles, plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic hair, and performing ’ (washing after relieving oneself). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set a time limit for trimming the mustache, trimming the nails, plucking the armpit hair, and shaving the pubic hair, stipulating that they should not be left for more than forty days. It is not permissible for a man to look at the awrah (private parts) of another man, nor for a woman to look at the awrah of another woman. An exception is made for spouses, where each is permitted to look at the awrah of the other. As for mahrams (unmarriageable kin), it is permissible for some of them to look at parts of the body above the navel and below the knee, provided there is no desire or fitna (temptation). It is permissible for a woman to remove the armpit hair of another woman, as it is not considered awrah for her, provided she does not describe it to others. It is also permissible to use hair removal creams instead of plucking.
