What are the reasons for distancing oneself from the Book of Allah and what are the ways to return to it?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The reasons for distancing oneself from the Book of Allah are many, including: frequent sins, weak veneration of Allah, preoccupation with worldly matters, and ignorance of the virtues of the Qur'an.

To return to the Qur'an, one must abandon sins, venerate Allah, turn towards the Hereafter, and know the virtues of the Qur'an, such as the hadith: "He who recites the Qur'an and is skilled in it will be with the noble and righteous scribes (angels), and he who recites the Qur'an and stutters over it, and it is difficult for him, will have two rewards." And the hadith: "Whoever recites the Qur'an and acts upon what is in it, Allah will clothe his parents with a crown on the Day of Resurrection, whose light is better than the light of the sun in the houses of this world." And the hadith: "The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it."

It is recommended to refer to books such as "Al-Tibyan fi Adab Hamalat al-Qur'an" by Imam Al-Nawawi and "Al-Itqan" by Imam Al-Suyuti, and to benefit from audio libraries.
