What is the ruling on wearing a swimsuit under trousers?

Wearing a swimsuit (mayo) is not forbidden if it is free from শরীয়া (Sharia) prohibitions, such as one gender imitating the other, imitating disbelievers, or exposing one's 'awrah (private parts). It is well-known that a swimsuit is often worn under something that covers the entire thigh. Therefore, there is no objection to wearing it under trousers or similar garments, because the thigh will be covered by the trousers. However, wearing it alone in front of people is forbidden due to the exposure of the 'awrah, as the thigh is considered 'awrah according to the most preponderant opinion.
