What is the wisdom behind forbidding Muslim men from wearing gold?

The rulings of Islamic law came to realize the welfare of people, and the believer submits to Allah's rulings. Allah created the male and the female, and each has characteristics and functions. The man is complete in himself and does not need adornment, unlike the woman who needs to beautify herself to attract the man and achieve the purposes of marriage. Therefore, gold and adornment are permitted for women and forbidden for men, as wearing them constitutes imitation of women and a perversion of nature, and it contradicts masculinity.
