What is the authenticity of the hadith: "Indeed, a woman approaches in the image of a devil, and she departs in the image of a devil. So if one of you sees a woman and is attracted to her, let him go to his wife, for that will repel what is in his heart"? And what is the meaning of: "A woman approaches in the image of a devil, and she departs in the image of a devil"?

This Hadith is authentic, narrated by Muslim and others, and there is no ambiguity in its meaning according to the scholars of Islam, as they have narrated and explained it. His saying: "Indeed, a woman approaches in the image of a devil" means that she approaches in his characteristic of tempting and inciting lust through the display of her charms, and that Satan beautifies her matter. This leads to the temptation that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against with his saying: "I have not left behind me any temptation more harmful to men than women." So, if a man sees a woman and she pleases him, he should go to his wife, for that will repel what is in his heart. The Hadith is not to disparage the chaste woman, but rather to warn against the temptation of women, and to condemn the woman who displays her charms to men and seduces them.
