A person has been suffering from psychological problems and disobedience to his parents for seven years due to his feeling of injustice from his brother and obsessive thoughts. He wants to return to his parents but fears it is too late and is contemplating suicide, having lost the taste of life. He discovered too late that the two most important things in life are worshipping Allah and honoring one's parents. All praise is due to Allah. The questioner must hasten to repent to Allah, perform prayers, honor their parents, and fulfill all that Allah has ordained. If one is sincere in their repentance and abandons sins, Allah will forgive them, for He, Glory be to Him, is Forgiving and Merciful. Allah has promised to accept repentance in many verses. Despairing of Allah's mercy and the acceptance of repentance is a trick of Satan to prevent a person from repenting. Suicide is one of the major sins and is not a solution to problems; rather, it transfers its perpetrator from the misery of this world to a more severe torment in the Hereafter.
