It is not permissible to sprinkle water upon which has been recited in the corners of a room to trap Jinn, as this is not from the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him) nor the practice of the righteous predecessors.
It has been narrated from the righteous predecessors - may Allah have mercy on them - that they only used water upon which Ruqyah was recited for drinking and bathing, as mentioned by Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al-Qayyim, and al-Nawawi.
