What is the ruling on using thread for the face, and how do we reconcile the evidence of those who permit it with the Hadith: "May Allah curse the one who adds hair extensions and the one to whom they are added, and the one who tattoos and the one for whom it is done"?

Plucking facial hair for women is a matter of dispute, originating from the disagreement in interpreting "al-Nams" (plucking), which is prohibited. They have agreed on prohibiting the plucking and thinning of eyebrows, and the removal of hair from the upper part of the face to widen the forehead. We hold that "al-Nams" refers to the removal of eyebrow hair. As for other facial hair, such as hair on the forehead and cheeks, it is permissible for a woman to remove it for beautification, unless it is thick or grows contrary to custom, like mustache hair, in which case it is permissible to pluck or trim it.
