Is it permissible for a capable woman to offer a sacrifice on behalf of her husband who is unable to do so?

The Udhiyah (sacrificial animal) is a confirmed Sunnah, legislated for both men and women. It suffices for the sacrificer and his household. Its time is on the Day of Nahr (Eid al-Adha) and the days of Tashreeq. It is sunnah for the sacrificer to eat from it, give some in charity, and present some as gifts. It is not permissible for the sacrificer to remove anything from their hair, nails, or skin after the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah until they offer the sacrifice. However, the agent performing the sacrifice on behalf of another is not bound by this. If a woman wishes to offer the sacrifice on behalf of her husband, his permission is required.
