Does an unmarried woman offer a sacrifice on her own behalf?
The Udhiyah (sacrifice) is a confirmed Sunnah for whoever is able to perform it, whether male or female. There is no difference between a married woman and an unmarried one, due to the generality of Allah's Almighty saying: (And do good) and because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not specify otherwise in his Ahadith. If a woman intends to offer a sacrifice, she must not remove anything from her hair, nails, or skin, based on what Muslim narrated from Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (When you see the new moon of Dhul-Hijjah, and one of you intends to offer a sacrifice, then he should restrain from (touching) his hair and nails).
