What is the ruling on a wife who slanders her husband to her family, accusing him of not satisfying her sexually and emotionally, and of having a sexual disease, despite medical proof of his good health, and who sometimes refuses to prepare herself for him or his requests, claiming fatigue?

A woman who complains about her husband to her family without just cause is sinful and unjust, unless her intention is to seek reconciliation through a rightful complaint. Patience is more virtuous. Umm Salama, may Allah be pleased with her, reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, I detest the woman who leaves her home dragging her garment, complaining about her husband." If she needs to complain, she should limit it to what is necessary without exposing her husband, especially concerning intimate matters.

The husband must ensure his wife's chastity to the best of his ability, and he must engage in marital relations with her honorably. This is one of the wife's most fundamental rights. The obligatory marital relations should be based on the wife's needs and the husband's capacity. The wife is obliged to obey her husband if he calls her to bed, unless she has a legitimate excuse or would suffer harm.

The marital relationship should be built upon understanding, mutual affection, mercy, and overlooking minor faults.
