What is the ruling on leftover salary fractions remaining in a usurious bank? Is it obligatory to withdraw them, despite the hardship involved, or is it obligatory to donate their interest, knowing that no interest appears on the account statement?

It is not permissible to open an account or keep money in an interest-based bank due to the cooperation in sin involved, as Allah Almighty says: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." However, if a person is compelled to do so by a work requirement, there is no blame upon him, provided that no money is kept in the account, and any usurious gains are disposed of by spending them on the welfare of Muslims.
