Does prolonging the supplication after rising from bowing (All praise is due to Allah, abundant, good, blessed praise, filling the heavens and filling the earth and filling whatever You wish of anything thereafter, O You who are worthy of praise and glory, the most rightful thing a servant has said, and all of us are Your servants) invalidate the prayer, if it is as long as, or longer than, what was recited before bowing?

The prayer is not invalidated by prolonging the standing after rising from bowing (ruku'), for it was narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to stand after rising from bowing until it was thought that he had forgotten. This indicates the permissibility of prolonging the standing after bowing. Some Shafi'is have held that this invalidates the prayer, but this opinion is false because it contradicts the authentic hadiths that prove the prolongation of the standing after bowing, and that the length of this standing does not negate continuity. In the hadith of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood for a long time after his bowing, almost as long as he had bowed. Imam Al-Nawawi strengthened the permissibility of prolonging this standing with dhikr (remembrance of Allah).
