How can the general negation of knowledge concerning what has been hidden for the people of Paradise in the verse, "No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes," be reconciled with the hadiths that mention Jibreel and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) seeing Paradise?

The "self" (nafs) in the noble verse refers to the human self, as evidenced by the Qudsi Hadith: "I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived." Therefore, Gabriel, peace be upon him, is not included in the verse. Furthermore, Gabriel's or our Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) vision of Paradise does not mean that they were informed of all types of blessings prepared therein for its inhabitants. Thus, there is no contradiction between their vision and the verse.
