Does the order of making up missed prayers fall away for a sister who slept before Maghrib and woke up half an hour before sunrise, leaving only half an hour for Fajr prayer, or is there enough time for making up the prayers (qada’) and then performing Fajr, or does the criterion of time constraint depend on the one who will perform the qada’? And must she repeat the prayer if she was told to pray Fajr first, then Maghrib and Isha?

Scholars have differed regarding the obligation of ordering prayers. Imam Shafi'i is of the view that it is recommended, not obligatory, and this is the preferred opinion. So, if your sister prays 'Isha then Maghrib then Fajr, she is not required to repeat them according to this opinion. As for those who consider ordering obligatory, some believe it is obligatory even if one fears the time will expire, while others believe that fearing the time will expire is an excuse that waives the ordering, such that one begins with the current prayer if there is not enough time for both. The latter is the more preponderant opinion.
