What is the ruling on the prayer of one who used to masturbate during the last days of her menstrual period? And is it obligatory for her to perform ghusl twice, once for masturbation and once for menstruation, or is a single intention for a single ghusl sufficient?

A person who has become pure from menstruation and is also in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) is not required to perform ghusl twice. Similarly, one who incurs janabah during her menstrual period is not required to perform ghusl for it; rather, she waits until she becomes pure, then performs ghusl once with the intention of both menstruation and janabah. By doing so, she achieves complete purification. Even if she were to perform ghusl with the sole intention of menstruation, the state of janabah would be lifted, according to the more preponderant opinion. Some scholars recommend that she perform ghusl for janabah, and her janabah would be lifted upon performing it. Then, when her menstrual bleeding ceases, she would also perform ghusl for it.
