Is it permissible for a young man to marry his maternal uncle's daughter, knowing that he and his siblings were nursed by their maternal grandmother (their mother's mother), while she was not nursed by their grandmother, but her siblings were nursed by the same grandmother?

If a young man was suckled by his grandmother five full sucklings during the first two years of his life, it is not permissible for him to marry his maternal aunt's daughter, even if she was not suckled by her grandmother. This is because he has become her paternal uncle through rada'ah (suckling). Suckling prohibits what lineage prohibits, and Allah the Almighty said concerning prohibited women: "and daughters of brothers" (An-Nisa: 23). The same ruling applies to this young man's brothers who were suckled by the grandmother; it is not permissible for them to marry the daughters of this grandmother's sons or the daughters of her daughters, because they have become their paternal uncles or maternal uncles through rada'ah.
