Why do the religiously committed face problems and tribulations, and is there a way to be committed and avoid them?

Adhering to God's religion and maintaining righteousness does not bring calamities; rather, sins and transgressions are their cause. Calamities purify the believer, expiate their misdeeds, and elevate their ranks through patience. This world is a realm of trial and test, and humanity was created in hardship and toil. The believer's patience in obedience and adversity leads to good, for God does not waste the reward of those who do good, and He recompenses them in this world and the Hereafter.
