Which prophet's people did God destroy with a shower of stones and by overturning the earth?

The people upon whom Allah sent a shower of stones (hasib) were the people of Lot (peace be upon him). Hasib refers to small stones. Allah combined various types of punishment upon them, which included: blinding their eyes, raising their land and then overturning it upon them, and following them with a shower of stones. This was due to their disbelief and their committing the abomination of sodomy, as stated in His Almighty saying: "The people of Lot denied the warners. Indeed, We sent upon them a shower of stones (hasib), except the family of Lot – We saved them before dawn, As a grace from Us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful. And indeed, he [Lot] had warned them of Our grip, but they disputed the warnings. And they had even sought to take his guests [for evil], so We blinded their eyes, [saying], 'Taste My punishment and My warnings.' And there came upon them in the morning a constant punishment. 'So taste My punishment and My warnings.'" (Al-Qamar: 33-39).
