You have done well by quitting sodomy and bad company, so praise Allah and ask Him for more. Strive against your lower self by staying away from sins, and occupy your heart with contemplating lofty matters, reflecting on the state of the people in the graves and the Day of Judgment, and pondering the Qur’an.
