How should a girl deal with the criticism and mockery of her sisters due to her interest in religion and her avoidance of backbiting gatherings and TV series? Is it permissible to give them un-Islamic clothes or praise their un-Islamic attire to avoid mockery?

It is not permissible to give sisters clothes that are known to be used for adornment (displaying beauty) because that is assisting in disobedience. Similarly, it is not permissible to praise them for their adornment. Listening to musical instruments is among the forbidden evils. The questioner must be patient with the harm from her sisters, and continue advising them to do good and forbidding evil with gentleness and forbearance, and to be patient with whatever befalls her from that. If they do not respond, she should not join them in gatherings of evil deeds. She must adhere to her religion, seek help from Allah, and associate with righteous women.
