What is the ruling on the prayer of one who relied on a compass to determine the direction of the Qiblah at Jeddah Airport, then later discovered a difference in the direction, and how should he make up the prayers that he combined by delaying them?

The resident must ask trustworthy individuals or rely on the prayer niches of mosques to determine the Qibla (definition). It is not permissible for him to make an independent judgment using a compass or similar tools. If someone made a mistake and exercised independent judgment, he must repeat the prayers he performed without certainty of facing the Qibla. In this case, he must immediately make up the Maghrib and Isha prayers. If he makes up the Isha prayer in his own country, it is more cautious for him to complete it (i.e., pray it as four rak'ahs).
