What is the meaning of the statement, "The hadith is authentic, but its chain of transmission is weak," and is this expression circulated among the scholars of hadith? And where can this be found?

The meaning is that the chain of narration mentioned by Ibn Abi Asim is weak, even if the hadith itself is authentic due to its being reported with an authentic chain of narration other than his. Therefore, you find the hadith scholars saying: "But the hadith is authentic by virtue of what follows it," or "But the hadith is definitively authentic." Scholars express this by saying: "The hadith has been authenticated through another route." Imam Al-Tirmidhi has another expression, saying: "And in this chapter, there is a narration from….. And this is a gharib hadith; we do not know it to be marfu' except from the hadith of..." or "This is a gharib hadith. And I heard Muhammad say: Al-Hasan ibn Ali Al-Hashimi is munkar al-hadith. And in this chapter, there is a narration from Abu Al-Hakam ibn Sufyan, and Ibn Abbas, and Zayd ibn Harithah, and Abu Sa'id." This means that the same meaning of the hadith is reported through another route, without stipulating its authenticity. Sheikh Shu'ayb Al-Arna'ut uses this same term.
