Is it permissible for me to travel alone to Muslim countries to wear the hijab, even if I have to live there without a mahram, given that my family prevents me from wearing it in Western countries?

Your family does not have the right to prevent you from wearing the hijab, as it is an obligation upon every adult Muslim woman, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments.﴾ And it is not permissible to obey them in disobedience to Allah, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no obedience in sin; obedience is only in what is good." You must wear the hijab and be patient in doing so. Traveling alone to Muslim countries is not advised unless there is a safe place.
