Is what the husband does, spending large sums of money on his brothers at his father’s request, while experiencing financial hardship and difficult living conditions, considered unlawful (haram) or lawful (halal)? And does his father have the right to impose on his son something he cannot bear in this manner? And is the husband’s refusal to pay these sums, due to his inability, considered disobedience to his parents (uquq al-walidayn)? And should the wife let her husband do as he wishes, even though she and her children feel oppressed?

It is your husband's responsibility to provide for you and your children, and if he does so, he is not considered unjust. Parents should not burden their child with something difficult for him, and he is not obligated to obey them in such matters. If your husband wishes to help his siblings with their marriages and is able to do so, you should not object. Instead, be a support for him in honoring his parents, as this may be a cause for an increase in sustenance, due to the Almighty's saying: "And whatever you spend of anything, He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever wishes that his provision be expanded for him or his life be extended, let him maintain his ties of kinship." Charity given to relatives is both charity and maintaining ties of kinship.
