If the divorce occurred in a state of extreme anger where the husband did not comprehend what he was saying, then nothing is incumbent upon him. However, if he comprehended what he was saying and intended the second and third pronouncements as confirmation, then one divorce is incumbent upon him, and he may take his wife back before her 'iddah (waiting period) expires if it was the first or second pronouncement. If he intended a new divorce with each pronouncement, then she is unlawful for him until she marries another husband. The wife not hearing the divorce does not prevent its occurrence.
