Is having feelings of admiration for a girl in the same class, and the consequent necessity of dealing with her due to academic requirements, considered unlawful (haram) or permissible (halal)? And what must be done to avoid the unlawful in this situation?

If the love of a woman enters a man's heart, he must guard himself against falling into the unlawful, and there is no sin upon him for that; because one is not held accountable for matters of the heart, and he will be rewarded for his chastity. It is not permissible for a man to converse with a non-mahram (definition) woman except out of necessity, and whoever does not observe the Sharia (definition) guidelines commits a sin.
