What is the ruling concerning those whom the Message has not reached when the sun rises from its west, and will the door of repentance be closed in the face of the disbeliever who did not know about Islam, if he wishes to embrace Islam after the sun rises from its west and it reaches him that this is one of the signs of the Hour?

If the sun rises from the west—which is one of the major signs of the Hour—faith will be of no avail at that time, as Allah Almighty says: "The day some of the signs of your Lord come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or earned through its faith some good." At that point, the repentance of a disbeliever or a disobedient person will not be accepted, nor will righteous deeds benefit one who had not performed righteous deeds before its rising. This is because faith at that time becomes a compulsive faith based on observation, not on the unseen, and it is like faith at the moment of rattling in the throat, which is not accepted.
