How is fasting completed until night in areas where there is no night, or where the day is extremely long, taking into consideration that the Holy Quran is the word of Allah?

The Qur'an is the word of Allah; falsehood cannot approach it, and there is no contradiction within it. If anyone imagines a discrepancy, it is due to their ignorance. The verse: "Then complete the fast until nightfall" (2:187) presents no difficulty concerning places where the daytime is long. Places where the daytime lasts for six months are few and rare, and what is rare has no ruling [i.e., is not the basis for general legislation]. The verse applies to regions where night and day alternate normally.

Islamic Sharia has not neglected the ruling on acts of worship in such places. Muslim narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said concerning the Dajjal (Antichrist), when a day will be as long as a year: "Estimate for it its measure." This includes fasting, prayer, and zakat. So, the measure for fasting is estimated, which demonstrates the perfection of the Sharia. The same applies to the issue of fasting in the North Pole: they estimate the time for fasting just as they estimate the time for prayer, based on this Hadith.
