Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on eating with the right hand: is it obligatory or ? It was previously chosen that it is among the Islamic etiquettes for which one is rewarded for observing, but not punished for abandoning. Similarly, taking and giving things with the right hand is not obligatory according to the majority of scholars.
