Is the girl mistaken in her insistence on marrying a young man despite her mother's continuous refusal, on the grounds of the nature of his work, his place of residence, and the social standing of his family, even though he has agreed to all her conditions and she is convinced by him?

If a young man is satisfactory in his religion and character, the mother should not refuse his marriage to her daughter, because the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If there comes to you one whose character and religious commitment you approve, then marry him. If you do not do so, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption."

It is recommended to supplicate to convince the mother and to send someone whose words the girl hopes will be heard. If the mother agrees, then all praise be to Allah. But if she refuses without a legitimate شرعي reason, her guardian can marry her off even if the mother dislikes it. If the guardian refuses, she can take the matter to court.

If the marriage does not happen, it is obligatory to cut off the relationship with the young man, because it is not permissible for a woman to have a romantic relationship with a man who is a stranger to her.
