Is it permissible to recite the Quran and dedicate its reward to a deceased mother, and is it permissible to recite the Holy Quran without wearing prayer clothes?

It is permissible to recite the Quran and donate its reward to the deceased, according to the Hanbalis, Shafi'is, and others. There is no objection to reciting the Quran without wearing prayer garments, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was only prevented from reciting the Quran by ritual impurity (janabah).
