What are the blood money (Diyya) and expiation (Kaffara) for semi-intentional killing, and when are they obligatory? Is fasting preferable? What is its amount in Jordanian Dinars? And what should those who have received the blood money do?

The legal diyya (blood money) is one hundred camels. Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, valued it at one thousand dinars for people who used gold and twelve thousand dirhams for people who used silver. As for its value in Jordanian dinars, one should refer to the Sharia courts.

The kaffara (expiation) is the freeing of a sound, believing slave. If one cannot find such a slave, then it is fasting for two consecutive months, along with repentance. The kaffara is obligatory in cases of accidental killing (qatl khata') and quasi-intentional killing (shibh al-amd), and in intentional killing (amd) if the guardian of the victim forgives and accepts the diyya. The diyya is a right for the victim's guardians, while the kaffara is a right for Allah Almighty.
