Is the hadith narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the virtue of Friday and its eve authentic, and was the division of the day into 24 hours known during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The hadith that mentions "twenty-four hours" is not authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Al-Albani described it as "very weak" and "reprehensible," and he characterized its chain of transmission as "corrupt." As for the authentic hadith, it states: "Friday has twelve hours, during which no Muslim servant asks Allah for anything but He grants it to him. So seek it in the last hour after Asr." The division of night and day into twenty-four hours was known to the Salaf (early Muslims). The preceding text indicates that an hour, in the parlance of those who measure time, is one part of twenty-four parts of the day and night.
