What is the ruling on doubting the breaking of promises and covenants with Allah, or on committing a forbidden act unintentionally? And does the expiation multiply with the multiplicity of breaking promises while ignorant of the ruling, or in the case of swearing to abandon something and repeatedly doing it, or in the case of an oath made in anger and doubt as to its connection?

The treatment for obsessive thoughts is to ignore them and pay them no attention. Fulfilling a vow to Allah Almighty is obligatory, especially if it involves abandoning a sin, and repentance from it is obligatory. As for doubt about breaking an oath, it does not necessitate anything, and ignorance of the expiation required for an oath has no effect. Furthermore, friendship between unrelated men and women is forbidden in Islam, and an oath necessitates expiation.
