What is the ruling on styling hair using partially dyed black loofah or straw instead of a wig, while intentionally showing that it is loofah?
It is forbidden for a woman to extend her hair with human hair. As for extending it with non-human hair, there is a difference of opinion among scholars, and the preponderant view is that there is no harm in it. Therefore, it is permissible to use natural fibers (līf) and place them on the hair, or for a woman to braid her hair with them, or with threads that do not resemble human hair. It is obligatory to avoid dyeing the hair black.
