What is the ruling on one who claims ownership of another's property, or attributes it to his son/father, in order to take half of the sales commission for himself?

If a property owner claims that their property belongs to someone else in order to obtain a brokerage commission, this constitutes consuming people's wealth unlawfully, which is forbidden by the verse: "And do not consume your properties among yourselves unlawfully." The perpetrator must repent and return the unlawfully acquired money to its rightful owner.
