What is the ruling on theatrical works, talk shows, and prank shows that are broadcast during Ramadan and contain indecent scenes and language, relying on excitement, and what is the ruling on those who produce them and those who watch them?

If plays, talk shows, and comedy programs include an audible or visible evil, or an invitation to it, then they are forbidden (haram). Their prohibition increases in Ramadan, as devils are chained and Muslims are supposed to utilize the month for obedience and worship. These programs divert people from the path of Allah, expose them to severe threats of punishment, and turn them away from truth and guidance. They are a gain for the believer and a bane for the wicked. Even if they are free from شرعي (Shari'i) prohibitions, they distract from the remembrance of Allah and worship during a great month in which every moment should be seized.
