How sound is the hadith that one of his wives found the Prophet with another wife on her night and on her bed, whereupon he said to her: "Be silent and do not mention it; I will never return to the like of it"?

Scholars have differed regarding the authenticity of the mentioned story. Ibn Hajar, in "Al-Talkhis Al-Habir," affirmed its authenticity, while Iyad deemed it weak. The story was not reported specifically about the night or one of the wives, but rather about Maria, the mother of Ibrahim, whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) summoned on Hafsa's day, when Hafsa had gone to visit her father. That action was not unlawful or an injustice in division; for it is not forbidden for the Prophet (peace be upon him) to touch his slave-girl on one of his wives' days, nor to summon her in one of their houses, especially if the wife was absent, and the house belonged to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
