What is the ruling on a wife's failure to adorn herself for her husband, coupled with indifference in all private and public matters?

It is commendable for each spouse to adorn themselves for the other. If the husband commands his wife to adorn herself, she must obey. He is permitted to discipline her if she does not comply, because obedience to the husband in what is good and permissible is obligatory. The best of women is she who pleases her husband when he looks at her and obeys him when he commands.
