What is the ruling on a wife selling some of her gold, having forgotten her husband’s oath, "By Allah the Almighty, if you sell anything from your gold, it will be the last day between us"? And is this considered an oath of divorce if the husband did not intend separation but rather meant to deter her and prevent her from selling?

"Your statement was a suspended divorce and a promise of divorce in a metaphorical form, regarding your wife selling some of her gold. Divorce does not occur by a mere promise unless the intention was to effect it immediately upon the action. If the divorce was in a metaphorical form, it does not occur unless the speaker intended it. It also does not occur if the wife did the action out of forgetfulness, assuming she is someone who would care about such a suspension."
