The answer

If a man divorces his wife three times, she becomes irrevocably divorced from him (baynunah kubra), and it is not lawful for him to marry her again until she marries another husband and he consummates the marriage with her, as Allah Almighty says: (And if he has divorced her [for the third time], then she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries another husband). As for the children, they are attributed to their father as long as he had intercourse with their mother, believing his action to be permissible. The husband must separate from his wife if he returned to her based on a that contradicts Islamic law.
