Does a wife become forbidden to her husband if she abandons him in bed for more than six months, despite them living in the same house and having no disagreements between them?

Intercourse is a fundamental purpose of marriage, achieving progeny, pleasure, and tranquility for the couple. It is a right for both of them. Abstaining from intercourse does not affect the marriage contract and is not considered a divorce. It is not permissible for the wife to refuse intercourse when her husband requests it, except for a valid excuse. The husband must know the reason for her refusal and work to remove it if it pertains to him, or seek treatment for her if it is an illness.
