Does feeling intense sadness and pain over the departure of a fiancé after the marriage contract and before the wedding deprive one of the reward of those who are patient?

A servant must be patient with Allah's decree and submit to His command. Grieving the loss of a loved one does not contradict patience, as long as it does not lead to words or actions that violate the Sharia (definition). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do you not hear? Indeed, Allah does not punish for the tears of the eye or the sadness of the heart, but He punishes for this - and he pointed to his tongue - or shows mercy." It is obligatory to be certain that all of Allah's decrees are mercy and wisdom, for He knows best what is in our interest. The outcome of patience is a great good. Um Salama narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If a calamity befalls someone and he says what Allah commanded: 'Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return. O Allah, reward me in my calamity and compensate me with something better than it,' Allah will do that for him."
