What is the ruling on a wife who did not allow her husband to consummate the marriage, claiming hatred and fatigue, and then requested a divorce?

The preponderant opinion with us is that it is not permissible to force an adult woman into marriage. So, if the girl was forced to marry you, she has the right to request the dissolution of this marriage. However, if she was not forced but does not wish to remain with you, it is recommended that you comply with her request. Ibn Muflih said: "It is permissible due to bad marital relations between the spouses, and it is recommended to comply with it." You are also permitted not to divorce her except in exchange for financial compensation that you both agree upon.
